• I obtained my doctoral training in both, Adult and Child/Family Clinical Psychology from University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, one of the top ranked clinical psychology programs in the country.
  • I also completed a two-year APA approved post-doctoral fellowship in the Department of Psychiatry, at the University of Michigan Hospital, a renowned medical facility.
  • I have extensive training and experience with individual adults, couples, families, children, and adolescents.  I also specialize in psychological assessments and psycho-educational assessments.


Over the last 20 years, I have worked as a clinician, professor, supervisor, and researcher, both nationally and internationally.  My clinical expertise includes working in outpatient and inpatient hospitals, private practice, outpatient clinics, schools, and counseling centers.  I have also consulted internationally with non-governmental organizations.

My teaching and supervisory experience focuses on Master’s and Doctoral level clinical students, and includes courses on assessment, diagnostics, and treatment for adult, child, and family populations.


My research expertise lies in the area of trauma, loss and attachment, and I have presented nationally at professional meetings and have published widely in professional journals (please see the Publications page for a partial list).
